Sail Barbary Eco Sailing Taupo
Lake Taupo, Central Plateau
Sailing Cruises on Lake Taupo
A classic white sailing yacht built from NZ native Kauri wood operated by a local family is the perfect vessel to showcase this beautiful part of New Zealand.
Converted to be electric in 2016, Barbary II is eco-friendly with no noise, no fumes and no pollution.
Sail Barbary offers the perfect mix of relaxation, fun and adventure at an awesome price. Enjoy sailing Taupo at its best (and quietest!) with NZ’s only commercially operated electric yacht.
We sail daily to the iconic Maori Rock Carvings passing scenic bays while viewing three majestic volcanoes at the Southern end of Lake Taupo.
Another option is to enjoy a relaxing Taupo cruise with a Private Charter trip to the iconic Maori Rock Carvings, a family day out, special occasion, trout fishing, or simply a day of fun and adventure on the water. Book the classic Taupo charter boat with Sail Barbary, and they will put together a custom boat hire package just for you.
